Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) has recently released a report which outlines forthcoming changes in legislation and policy. Many of the changes have been anticipated by the private sector, but the one to watch is the Business Amendment Bill, which will seek to simplify the business registration process and set related norms and standards. The report also indicates that the controversial Promotion and Protection of Investment Bill, will only be tabled in Parliament later in 2015. The Gambling and Liquor Amendment Bills are also on the horizon, and are important ones to watch for stakeholders in the hospitality and tourism sectors.
A full list of forthcoming legislation is attached, with a brief narrative of the expected legislative changes.
